>What is ConTact CARE Flinchlock Release Therapy?

When you sustain an injury from an accident, fall, knock or impact to your skeleton, it creates a flinch response resulting in a deep contraction into the bone. This contraction or "Flinch" is known as a Flinchlock and holds pressure into the bones Periosteum (Skin) "Skeletal Sensory Shock". This impact pressure now becomes this bone's working pressure.

With this change in pressure, the body compensates by adjusting its biomechanics (Movement/Alignment) to accommodate the new pressure. This in turn can transfer pressure to tissues (Muscle), joints, tendons, ligaments and organs, which can affect and restrict normal movement and function of the body.

>What can ConTact CARE work with:

  • Headaches/Migraines

  • Equine & Pet Injuries

  • Breathing disorders

  • Old Unresolved Injuries

  • Sports injuries

  • Co-ordination Problems

  • CarpalTunnel

  • Post-op Rehabilitation

  • Mental/Emotional shock

  • Cranial tension

  • Depression - caused by chest cavity impacts

 >A few points to consider:

  • Impacted bones can have serious effects many years after the original injury.
  • Impacted bone can affect connective tissue length and working pressure within the body.
  • Your felt pain can be caused by the pressure balance arrangement between your head and body. For example a cheekbone impact can affect your ribs and your breathing. A tailbone injury could be causing your migraine headaches.
  • Impacted bones can alter what a person feels they can and can not do.
  • Impacted bones can cause pressure within the body that is relieved (unconsciously) by movement. This creates the ‘workaholic’ or the person with ‘ants in their pants’ – the person that must be on the go all the time to ‘feel normal’.
  • Impacted bones can cause many seemingly unrelated symptoms and dis-ease in the body. Releasing stored pressure from the bones sees clients experiencing a new ‘normal’ with less pain and improved mobility.

>What is the difference between other therapies?

  • We move away from pain. We make sure the client feels comfortable and safe.

  • We do not manipulate or adjust.

  • We release pressure trapped in Bone, from surprise impact traumas (Skeletal sensory shock).

  • We recognise that the body's self defense system can override the nervous system and reflex system.

>I can't remember having an impact, can you still help me?

This is a very common question that we get. Where you are right now is the sum of all of the events in your life, this includes all of the surprise impacts. What this means is that your current position makes perfect sense when we look at your history. With our assessments we are able to discover imbalances and problems that you are not aware of. As we release the associated Flinchlocks your body is able to reestablish itself. As your body unravels it is common that memories of the original event may come to the surface.

>Do you have to keep coming back regularly for maintenance?

No, our goal is to help you resolve your problem so that you don't need to keep coming back. Once a Flinchlock combination is fully released it is gone forever.

>If its any good, why haven't I heard of it?

As with all new health practices they must start from scratch. We are largely referral based which means people are finding out about us from other happy clients. We are proud to say that ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock release is New Zealand made and are looking forward to seeing it travel further abroad.

>What should you expect after a treatment?

For 24 - 48 hours after the session you may experience some minor discomfort or aggravation of your symptoms. This is a normal part of the body’s response. It is common for the full benefit of the treatment to be felt after 2 - 3 days.

>How do you do it?

ConTact C.A.R.E is hands on. We work with the client in their most comfortable positions, whether that be standing, sitting, lying or where ever there comfort will lead them. We locate the Flinchlocks (Bones with trapped pressure) by listening closely to their story, observing their gestures and how they move around their injury and most importantly by getting our hands on. The pressure is released with a simple and pain free formula which was discovered by Dale Speedy while he was working on a horse in 2004.

>How many visits will it take?

Everyone is unique, so healing time and visit frequency will vary. Generally, on average our clients feel their problem is resolved between 1-5 visits.

>Where does ConTact C.A.R.E come from?

ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release - is a Martial Arts based discipline, created in NGATEA New Zealand, by Dale Weston Speedy (6th dan Blackbelt Kiaido-Ryu) and Kym Summers.  It is a practical study in 'The Nature of STILLNESS'. ConTact C.A.R.E recognises that the skeleton defends itself automatically and independently when impacted by surprise.

This results in what we call 'SKELETAL SENSORY SHOCK'.

Skeletal sensory shock is released through a series of non-intrusive and gentle movements.
